Create Qlik connector

 

Administrator should provide you access to the plugin first

 

  1. Go to Power BI Connectors page: click Apps and select Qlik Sense & Qlik View Connector for Jira from Jira main navigation menu.

  2. Click Create data source

  3. Enter the Name and Description (optional)

  4. Select Filter to filter by boards

  5. Specify JQL to filter the issues to be fetched by the connector

  6. Select the period for uploading issues in the Issues updated field

  7. Select the product you need on the left side menu of the page:
    Jira Work Management
    Jira Software
    Jira Service Management
    Tempo Timesheets
    Tempo Planner
    Tempo Cost Tracker
    Insight - Asset Management
    TM4J - Test Management for Jira (ZEPHYR SCALE)
    Zephyr Squad - Test Management for Jira
    Advanced Roadmaps for Jira (formerly Portfolio)
    Xray - Test Management for Jira
    Projectrak - Project Tracking for Jira

  8. Select the fields to be pulled by the connector

  9. Click Save

 


Create Credentials to export data

 

To export data to Power BI you have to create credentials.

Use your Email as username and API Token as a password

Create Api Token

Follow the instructions:

  1. Log in to https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens.

  2. Click Create API token.

  3. From the dialog that appears, enter a memorable and concise Label for your token and click Create.

  4. Click Copy to clipboard, then paste the token to your script, or elsewhere to save

Create credentials

  1. Click Create credentials

  2. Enter your email to E-mail field

  3. Enter your API Token you have previously created to API Token field

  4. Click Submit

You can filter data by many metrics: Action (created, updated), Users, Last modified date (you can select the time period for which you want to receive the report), Field Name (selection of fields for which changes were made).

 

The author can share access to the connector with other users and groups who have access to the plugin.

All users who are in the jira-administrators group have access to all connectors and have the same access as the author of the connector.

Access is Denied

Users and groups have no access to the connector. The connector is not displayed for them


Filter Connectors

 

Filter Connectors by Users

  • All is the default value. Option shows all connectors the user can see

  • Own option shows personal user connectors

  • Using the Creator option, you can filter connectors by author
