Administration of the basic settings

Permissions

 

Allow or restrict access to the plugin to specific users or groups

Please note, it is a required action for your team to work with plugin correctly

  1. Click Apps on main navigation bar and select Microsoft Power BI Connector for Jira.

  2. Click Administration from the app sidebar menu and select Permissions tab. You can allow or restrict access to the plugin to specific users or groups on this page.

    • Access is Allowed - This option allows users and groups access to the plugin

    • Access is Denied - This option forbids users and groups access to the plugin

 

 


Apps

 

Select the data export plugins you need and activate or deactivate data export for projects.

  1. Select Microsoft Power BI Connector for Jira from the Apps menu on main navigation bar

  2. Click Administration from the app sidebar menu.


Enable Export for every Plugin

  • Jira Software

  • Jira Service Management

  • Tempo Timesheets

  • Tempo Planner

  • Tempo Cost Tracker

  • Insight - Asset Management

  • TM4J - Test Management for Jira (ZEPHYR SCALE)

  • Advanced Roadmaps for Jira (formerly Portfolio)

  • Xray - Test Management for Jira

  • Projectrak - Project Tracking for Jira

You are allowed to enable or disable the plugin at any time


Enable Export for Projects

 

Export of all projects is enabled by default. To find the project you need, you can use the search.

 

You can activate or deactivate data export projects at any time


Organization

 

This feature gives ability to add a token for an organization to export the Users Products Access table and the Last Active field in the Users table on the Jira Platform tab.Jira Platform

Create an API key for your organization

To create an API key:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > API keys.

  3. Select Create API key in the top right.

     

  4. Enter a name that you’ll remember to identify the API key.

  5. By default, the key expires one week from today. If you’d like to change the expiration date, pick a new date under Expires on. You’re unable to select a date longer than a year from the date of creation.

  6. Select Create to save the API key.

  7. Copy the values for your Organization ID and API key. You'll need those to use the API key.

  8. Select Done. The key will appear in your list of API keys.

 

Now follow next steps:

  1. Click Apps on main navigation bar and select Microsoft Power BI Connector for Jira.

  2. Click Administration from the app sidebar menu and select Organization tab.

  3. Input your organization id and api key, that you have created earlier to Organization ID and API key fields accordingly and click Save Organization ID and API key button

 

The access also can be given to a specific users, who will be allowed to use data from Organization REST API Use Add people dropdown menu to add users.

 


Plugin History

 

Audit is designed to help you to control the main changes that occur with the connectors.

Allows you to filter data by many metrics:

Users

filtering by user

Last modified date

allows to select the time period you want to receive the report

Field Name

allows to select fields for which changes have been made
